About the course
The course is part of a group consulting programme and covers the requirements of GMP+ FSA 2020 for feed safety management systems.
Day one deals with the certification scheme and the R 1.0 base standard: from organisational context and leadership through planning, support, operation, performance evaluation and improvement of the feed safety management system.
Day two opens with the technical specifications that most often turn into audit findings, and closes with internal audit practice to ISO 19011:2018, applied specifically to auditing GMP+ FSA 2020.
Participants who pass the final test with a score of 80 or above receive an Internal Auditor Certificate.

Day 1 — GMP+ Feed Safety Management System
10:00-13:00 — Introduction to the GMP+ FSA 2020 certification scheme
- Principles of the GMP+ FSA 2020 scheme.
- Main changes and requirements of GMP+ FSA 2020.
- Structure of GMP+ FSA 2020.
- Working with the GMP+ website.
13:00-14:00 — Lunch break
14:00-18:00 — The base standard for feed safety management systems (R 1.0 requirements)
- Scope of the document.
- Terms and definitions.
- Risk-based approach to the management system, identifying opportunities.
- Organisational context.
- Leadership. Top management responsibility within GMP+ FSA 2020.
- Planning. Effective tools for planning and improving the system.
- Support.
- Operation of the feed safety management system.
- Performance evaluation.
- Improvement.
Day 2 — ISO 19011:2018, running internal management system audits
10:00-13:00 — Working through the technical specifications (TS)
- TS 1.1 Prerequisite programmes.
- TS 1.2 Purchasing requirements.
- TS 1.5 Product safety and laboratory testing requirements.
- TS 1.9 Product transport requirements.
13:00-14:00 — Lunch break
14:00-18:00 — Internal auditing to ISO 19011:2018
- Planning and running an internal audit of a feed safety management system.
- Applying ISO 19011:2018 to auditing GMP+ FSA 2020.
- Final test. A score of 80 or above earns an Internal Auditor Certificate.
